Technical repitions (20 mins)
Organization:
6 cones
Players at each cones
1 ball for entire drill
Extra balls on the side
Instructions:
Ball will start at 1 (I.e Centre back)
They will play a pass to 2 (Deep midfielder)
Who will then pass to 3 (Centre back)
3 will pass down the line to wing back and the sequence will be repeated
All players must follow their pass
Coaching Points:
CB's must play firm pass to midfield player
Eye contact is essential before playing every pass
DM must understand the importance of playing quickly
DM must check to the ball
CB must open up in order to play next pass to wing back
Progressions:
- DM will now look to find wingbacks instead of CB's
- Semi opposed pressure will be introduced on DM

Tactical SSG (30 mins)

Balls around the outside
Instructions:
- Blue will attempt to play the ball out from the back and score in any of the three small goals
- Reds will look to win the ball and then go to goal
- Players will constantly rotate positions so that every player understands the duties needed by the back 4
Coaching Points:
- Can DM look to receive the ball facing forward?
- Can CB'S recognize the space in front and carry the ball forward
- Does the defensive line act like a string and shift side to side
- Are the wingbacks getting high so that their is a psss to beat the opposite attackers.

- Layer in an extra red player to make things more difficult
