Intro

The players are split into 4v4/3v3 games. Offside is played from the half way line. A goal must be scored from the attacking half. A team can only have a maximum of 1 player left in their own half before they can score, this will encourage quick transitions and ensure that players are making forward runs, creating overloads.

If a goal is scored while your opponents have 2 or more players left in your half it is worth 3 (as displayed in diagram 1). This will reward scoring with overloads.

Individual challenges;

* Play off one touch when it's on to set up attacks

* Don't give the ball back to the person you gave it to you

* Get in position to play forwards with your first touch

* Try to get into positions to finish with one touch

The pitch is split in to 3 areas. Each team is set up with a GK-2-3-1. The team in possession must link 4 passes through midfielders before they can attack. They can bounce the ball off a striker or defender. If a defender players to a defender to retain possession this isn't included in the pass count.

Once 4 passes have been made the ball can be played into the striker or as a through ball to a midfielder breaking into the box. To begin, the opposition are not allowed to recover and midfielders. However, a defender for the team in possession can push in to midfield, leaving a 1v1 in their defensive third until the numbers balance off.

If the striker steals the ball from one of the defenders they can score immediately or midfielders can break into the final third to support. Alternatively, they can play the ball back in to midfield, then 4 passes must be completed before an attack can form. If the ball goes out of play it starts with the GK.

To progress, allow for rotation and recovering midfielders from the opposition. If a goal is scored when there is an overload it now counts as double.

One team now can break forwards at any point, the other must still make 4 passes before breaking. Rotate this after 5 minutes each.

Finish with a free play scenario. Each team's scenario is kept secret from each other. Both have the scenario that they are 1-0 down with 10 minutes go and they need to win to progress in the cup.
