Warm Up

Players working in 20 x 20 grid

30 seconds of - Jogging, jockeying, high knees, heel flicks, high skips, low skips

4 Servers put on sides of grid:

Players still moving round for 30 seconds, must go to server who serves for:

Inside volley: In between, both server and player do a squat

Lace Volley: In between, both server and player lunge on both legs

One touch (header, chest, knee) and volley:

Players all moving the footballs round short pass; two touch for 30 seconds x 3:

In between sets - 5 lateral lunges each leg

Running Mechanics

Running mechanics:

3 sets

Between first two cones (3 yards apart), players stride out to touch floor, backpedal back to starting position and into 3-point stance - then on command sprint to far cone (13 yards from 1st cone)

Players then are backpedalling to 2nd cone, moving forward back to starting position and on command, turn and sprint to far cone

1 vs. 1 Chase (3 sets)

Players are numbered 1 and 2 in pairs. Players then moving round 20 x 20 grid; on command, if 1 is called, player 2 must try and tag player 1 within 10 seconds. If 2 is called, player 1 must tag player 2. If player is caught/unable to catch opponent - forfeit of 2 burpees.
