Dribbling Technique

A: Work with group on techniques of dribbling lace chop, inside chop & outside chop

B: Dribbling station uning different surfaces of the foot

Variations: Use both feet, use right and/or left foot only

Coaching Points: Lift knee over ball, chop down on the ball to keep ball near, use different surfaces for change of direction, shielding, turning away

SET UP: The defender passes to the attacker then runs to defend. The attacker receives the ball and attempts to score in one of the goals.

For the next attack the players step in the goals. Rotate positions ea 3 min.

Coaching Points: Attack with pace, change of direction, don't just shoot-finish!

4 v 4 w/2 neutral players. Restrictions: 5 passes to 5 different players before team can shoot. 3 min or 2 goals, switch in group.

CP: Offer angles of support. Keep hips & sholders open to the ball to receive. Movement after your pass. Communication.
