Individual -creative runs/play (20 mins)

Organisation

6v6 ( depends on numbers ) Goal keepers always start the play.

Tight area to encourage players to think of different ways to penetrate and go forward.

Play starts with the GK. Aim of the game is to transfer the ball from the GK to the opposite end zone, either by playing a through ball into or by a player dribbling into the end zone.

Key factors

Looking for players to creative in getting forward, individual skill , clever runs, combination play

With limited width players must look to create depth, from target player on runs in behind.

Introducing switching the play (20 mins)

Organisation

Area slightly wider. But still work 18 yrd line to halfway line. GK still only play with feet. Ball always starts with GK.

Aim of the game is to score in either of the 2 wide mini goals or by dribbling through the middle area in between the poles.

Key Factors

Looking for players to be a little more patient and look to move the ball to move defenders out of shape.

Wide goals should encourage players to switch the play. Switching away from pressure and also with the middle target line it will have them switching the play to create opportunities for players to break in-between lines going central.

Team defending goal, if they win the ball look to play out and score in mini goals.

Can swap so both teams have opportunity to attack goals

Key Factors

Want to encourage MF players supporting forward and getting beyond.
