Stations (10 mins)

3 Stations - Theme is "I can do this, can you do this"

1st Station: Place cones across from a few noodles.

-Tell each player to get a ball and stand at a cone. Progress from no ball to ball. Have them run and jump over noodles and then come back..show them. Have them gallop and jump over noodles and come back. Have them skip around the noodles and come back. Have them hop over to the noodles and back.

-Now use a ball. Have them Dribble and touch a noodle and back. Have them dribble ball around the noodle and back. show them.

Station 2 : Have them stand by a hula hoop with a ball next to them. No ball at first then add ball. Have them jump into the hula hoop and then have them jump out of the hula hoop. Can you do it more than once. Can you stand on one leg? Can you jump on one leg? Can you hop in and out of hula hoop on one leg.

-Can you dribble around 2 hula hoops? Can you dribble around three without hitting another players ball?

Station 3-Body Awareness: NO ball at first. Have them find a certain color poly spot. Send them to find a ball and bring back to their spot. Can you put the ball on your head? Can you put the ball on your thigh? Can you toss the ball up and catch it? Can you dribble around 2 different colors and then put the ball on your head? Can you bring a coach your ball? Send for water!

Body Part Dribble (10 mins)

BODY PART DRIBBLE: 20x30 yrd grid-Let the players know that the area between the cone is the island they must stay on.

-Have players dribble around the area and on the coaches command they have to stop dribbling and put the body part "called out by the coach" on the ball. Tell them that they should try not to collide into any other players or their ball. Each time you stop give them a new dribbling task like " stop the ball with the bottom of their foot"...Show them. Then have them roll the ball backwards with the bottom of their foot..show them. Then they have to dribble the ball fast or slow....show them. They try to use the sides of your feet to dribble...show them.

-Keep going and after each dribbling task you'll call out a body part. You can even call out two body parts to make it fun. Like nose and elbow:)

Sleeping Octopus (10 mins)

SLEEPING OCTOPUS: 20X30 Yard Grid

Create a safe cave and and Octopus cave as shown. Begin game without a ball and then introduce a ball later. Players must run to the Octopus cave and yell "Get up Sleeping Octopus" and run back to their cave. Once the Ocopus awakes the players have to run back to their cave without getting tagged. Do a round with hopping and then galloping. Add the ball now and play with them dribbling over and having to dribble back.

Open Goals (10 mins)

OPEN GOALS: 20x30 yard coned area

Bring everyone in. Tell them they will be dribbling to a goal and kicking the ball into the net. once they score they will grab their ball and bring it back to the center and they must give one of the coaches a "High Five". Once they "High Five" the coach they can then go and score on a different goal. How many goals can you score?

-Play for two rounds of a couple of minutes with a rest in between.
