Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Box game

Session Objective:to improve movement in advance

Organisation:

2 teams of seven plus gk.

Blue Defenders ,2 in each box (A,B).One yellow player each box and one floater (c) who can go in either box (A or B).Same applies for yellows.

Ball can be transferred from box A to box B but must go diagonally in to Box E or F.

Blue forwards:one player in eacg box and one floater who can go in both.

Emphasis on movement in advance so if ball goes into box B,players must anticipate and move in box E and so on.

Developments: Ball played from box B :Player in box E must set up player in box F to score.

Subsequently develop further by limiting player in E to one touch.

Extend :E can set up player in a to shoot and so on.
