Setup:
Groups of 5
3 grids of 8x8
Extra balls around grid
4v0 (same as 4v1 but with no defender)
4v1 Activity:
4 players on lines around 1 defender.
2 touch mandatory. Must receive with farthest foot.
If defender wins the ball they become attacker. They also get out of middle if someone receives on wrong foot.
Ball back in play in 1-2 seconds.
Coaching Points:
+ Give advice (communicate)
+ Adjacent player MUST slide to nearest cone to create passing angle
3v1:
No touch restrictions, just play keepaway.
Work inside the grid.
Create angles and receive with furthest foot.

Setup:
20x15 grid
2v2 in the middle + 2 targets (possibly add a 3rd neutral in middle)
Activity:
Team in possession tries to get ball from target to target.
5 passes = 1 goal
If defense wins ball, switch roles (transition)
Coaching Points:
Receive with farthest foot.
Face the way you want to play.
Create angles (sharpen).
Quick transitions - focus on quickly getting out of pressure (play the way you're facing)
Progression:
Make the game positional and directional -- 3-man backline swinging ball side to side trying to play into Defensive Midfielder

Setup:
Half of field - 40 yards wide
Back 4 + 1 defensive midfielder
Cones laid out as shown. Yellow shows general positions when ball is wide. Red is when ball is central.
Activity:
Players move the ball around the back four and through center mid, switching play.
Cones are there to give general guidelines on positioning.
At times, coach gives commands to play ball forward or back.
Coaching Points:
+ Game realistic speed
+ Move up with ball if coach calls to move forward
+ Maximum width when going wide
+ Outside backs pinch in when ball on opposite side
Progresssions:
+ Add 1-2 defenders

Activity:
Teams play 6v6 (or 7v7). Add a neutral for attacking team if extra player.
Play 3-1-1
Coaching Points:
Try switching play through the back 3 + defensive midfielder
Progression:
Add defensive wide zones where outside backs can control ball with no pressure.

Activity:
CB plays ball to outside back. Once ball is played defender can close. Outside back goes 1v1 to endline. If defender wins ball they score over opposite endline.
Coaching Points:
+ Setup move by creating space for yourself
+ Change of speed, change of direction to get around defender
Progression:
+ Play a chipped ball to attacker
