Screen 1 (15 mins)

Set up:

Players line up at position A. One player acts as the 'Wall' in a wide position X. 'A' dribbles the ball through first set of cones then passes to X who returns pass to A (1-2) and then A dribbles through next set of cones onto B then back to position A. Each player has to work for 2 mins as the Wall (X).

Encourage:

Player X to move side to side to receive passes from both ends, don't let him just stand still (you could add a couple of cones to show where you want him to move).

Quick, sharp passes, 1 or 2 touch. Keep ball on floor.

Accurate passes. A to pass to feet of X, but X to pass just in front of A (to run onto).

Progressions:

1) Switch side of position X so players pass to and receive from X with different foot.

2) Add obstacle (or jockeying defender) in the middle that players must avoid after passing to X and before receiving ball back.

3) Add further cones for players to dribble around before and after passing to X or on return from position B to position A.
