Technical (Fakes) (15 mins)

Description

1. Players dribble towards cone, perform following moves then shift to the right or left:

Fake left and Take outside of right

Scissors left take outside of right

Stepover right take right

Fake shot right take outside of right

V pull right take right

Coaching Points:

1. Accelerate (change of speed) to open space

Lateral Movement Training (15 mins)

Setup: 3 cones 2 yards apart, touch line 12 yards away (Spray paint)

Description:

Begin with fast feet, on coaches signal the middle player takes off in one direction and outside players must mimic.

Expand into seeing if the outside players can beat the middle player back to the cone.

Variation:

Outside players go the opposite direction of the middle player

Lateral Movement 1v1 (20 mins)

Setup: 30x30 grid in front of goal

Equipment

8 cones

Decription: Player A must move laterally with B following. They are trying to make a cut to break through the cones. Once they break through they receive a ball from C. Player C comes out to defend quickly and 1v1 begins. If Player C wins possesion they score by dribbling into one of the outside boxes.

Dribbling Small Sided Scrimmage (20 mins)

2 games, 3 v 3, 2 soccer balls, no goalkeepers.

To score a point players have to dribble the ball into the shaded area and stop it with the bottom oif their foot to get a point. No defenders can enter.

Keep score -combined color score at end wins.

SSG - Dribbling & RWTB (20 mins)

Description

In a field of 40x30 yards, there are 6 goals (3 red and 3 white).

The objective is to score in any of the goals by dribbling/running with the ball through the gates and then stopping it.

For the first 12 minutes, players can enter an all the gates. In the final 12 minutes, the coach will call out the colour where both teams can score, changing it every time she feels appropriate.

2- Create space, losing your marker to receive the pass

3- Try to do a different feint/move every time to get away from your marker

Skaters touch the ground big jump

Sumo Squat to Knee Raise

Deep Side lunge - middle - side. Hands near ankle

Calf raises 10 sec hold at end

Seated Quad raise - up - out - in - down

Plank - forearm down down up up for more difficulty
