Compass Game (10 mins)

Organisation

Pitch size approx 30 x 30.

4 teams of 3 players set up as shown.

The Blue team play from N to S and back, the Yellow team, when they win the ball, play from E to W.

90 secs on, then immediately swap with the other 2 teams x4

How to Play

Teams have to work the ball from one end to the other and back.

3 touch maximum.

Players on the outside can't stop the ball and might need to be put on restricted touches to keep the tempo high.

Quick switch of roles after 90 seconds.

SSGs (40 mins)

Organisation

2 pitches side by side, each 30x20.

4 teams of 3.

Coaches with a supply of balls at the side.

4x 4 minute games, each game followed by a set of 10, 20, 30, 40 metre sprints then 3 minutes rest.

How to Play

3v 3 SSG, coach feeds a ball in to start.

Game is directional.

Teams score by passing the ball through the "goal".

The coach then feeds the next ball into the scoring teams own half so the have to recover tthe ball to attack again, whilst the team that conceded can press out from the back.

If a ball goes out of play, the coach feeds the next one in quickly.
