Main Theme 1 (20 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x20 field

2. Goals (2)

3. Separate players into two teams

4. Multiple Balls

Instructions:

1. Team One begins with the ball. The first player in line dribbles the ball towards the goal and shoots.

2. As soon as the ball is shot and/or played out of bounds, a player from Team Two dribbles the ball onto the field creating a 1v1. The player from Team One is now a defender.

3. Players have 30 seconds to score.

4. If the ball goes out of bounds the round is complete.

5. Teams will play for 5 mins then switch roles. Team with the most goals wins.

Coaching Points:

1. Counter quickly on transition before opposition can organize

2. Can a shot be taking vs dribbling into the goal to help maintain good defense

3. Use of moves to beat defender

4. Play at speed

Main Theme 2 (20 mins)

Organization:

1. 30x20 field

Instructions:

1. Team One begins with the ball. The first player in line dribbles the ball towards the goal and attempts to score.

2. As soon as the ball is played onto the field, a player from Team Two can step on and act as a defender.

3. As soon as the ball is shot and/or played out of bounds, a player from Team Two dribbles the ball onto the field creating a 2v1. The player from Team One is now a defender.

4. Players have 30 seconds to score.

5. If the ball goes out of bounds the round is complete.

6. Teams will play for 5 mins then switch roles. Team with the most goals wins.

Coaching Points:

1. Counter quickly on transition before opposition can organize

2. If counter is not optional maintain possession

3. Maintain width and depth when attacking

4. 2nd attacker to offer support

5. Can a shot be taking vs dribbling into the goal to help maintain good defense

6. Use of moves to beat defender

7. Play at speed
