Progression:

Outside of the foot, inside of the foot, head, head-chest-thigh-foot.

Passing&Moving (20 mins)

Organization:

Groups of 3 with one ball

Cones are set up in a diamond, 6 yards apart.

Instructions:

Players must pass the ball to any teammate, once they pass they must run to a free cone.

Coaching Points:

Part of foot

Part of ball

Accuracy of pass

Weight of pass

Communcation

Receive with half turn

Progression:

Add a defender and play a 3v1 Rondo

7v7 Small Sided Game Passing&Receiving (45 mins)

Set up:

Using a quarter of the field, play a 7v7 small sided game.

Instructions:

Coaching passing&receiving in s small sided game.

Coaching points:

-principles of play

-Communication- eye contact

-weight of pass

-quality of pass

-good first touch

-check shoulder

-Receive back foot, body is now open and can see the field.
