Progression:

Add a tagger to the central area.

Give the tagger a ball to dribble around

With the tagger only allowed to operate in one area. This will allow the players to decide which half they want to play in

Later, Add more dribbling taggers as the players are trying to escape, they can either do kick ups, knee up or a header.

Players must dribble with the ball through the gates.

They can also work in pairs as the case maybe if one player has the ball and another player does not have the ball.

If a player successfully dribbles past the taggers, It is 10 points, If they successfully make good passes through the gates with their partners, It is 5 points.

If the taggers accepts their passes or prevents them from going past easily with the ball, It is 4 points.

Accuracy of passing.

Individual control and dribbling skills

Recognition of opportunities to pass.

Effective off the ball movements to receive passes from partner.

Working with a partner to outnumber a tagger and exploit space.

Recognition of when to move quickly with the ball to exploit space and when to be patient and look for opportunities to attack.

Once they have escaped, they re- enter a different gate.

The players should be encouraged on trying to escape by hopping, running backwards, side stepping.

The width of the gates could be changed to either make it harder for the taggers or the players trying to escape either smaller or wider.
