Organization:
1.30 x 10 yard area set up as shown
2.3 players set up as shown
3.1 ball (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.In a 30 x 10 yard area place a marker at both ends and in the middle (15 yards from either end)
2.Ball starts at one end of the area and is played into the middle player
3.Middle player then plays the ball back to the same end player (see diagram 1)
4.End player then approaches the ball and plays a lofted pass over the middle player to the other end
5.2nd end player then controls the ball and plays it back to the middle player (see diagram 2)
6.Exercise is then repeated
Coaching Points:
1.Angle of approach is off center
2.Head up to observer target
3.Supporting foot placed to the side and slightly behind the ball
4.Strike the ball at the bottom of the ball
5.Body weight is leaning back

P Maximum of two touches

Organization:
1.Large circle around 30 yards in diameter set up as shown
2.12 players (2 Attackers, 2 Defenders, 8 Servers) set up as shown
3.4 balls
Instructions:
1.Players on the outside serve the ball to players on the inside
2.Players on the inside receive the ball on their head, chest, thigh or foot and must look to pass to a new player that does not have a ball
3.After the players make their pass they go and find a new server
4.Defending players must attempt to win possession from the attacking players
5.Attacking players on the inside have the option of returning the ball to the original server if they can not open their body up to find a new player
Coaching Points:
1.Select appropriate surface
2.Withdraw surface at impact
3.Use arms for balance and to help shield the ball from pressure
4.Direction of touch to enable next action
Progressions:
1.P – 3 vs. 3 in the center of the circle
2.R – 3 vs. 2 in the center of the circle to reduce the pressure

1.40 x 30 yard area set up as shown
2.12 players (2 teams of 5, 2 Goalkeepers) set up as shown
3.6 balls
Instructions:
1.Players are divided into 2 teams 5 v 5 + GK’s and combine to score goals
2. Players must complete 5 passes before taking a shot on goal
3. Both teams are set up in a 1-3-2 (GK, 3 defenders, 2 forwards)
4. Goal kicks, corner kicks and throw-ins when the ball goes out
Coaching Points:
1. Angle of approach
2. Prepare the ball in the direction you wish to play to next
3. Use the nearest surface of the nearest foot to play quickly
4. Look around, see pressure before receving the ball

Organization:

Instructions:
1. Number each player 1 to however many you have in the session. In the diagram above there are 8 players numbered 1-8
2. The game is to pass to each player following the sequence of number. For example 1 passes to 2, 2 passes to 3, 3 passes to 4, etc.

1. Getting into line with the ball
2. Assess the situation as ball travels
3. Select appropriate surface
4. Directions of touch to enable next action

1. P – Add extra ball(s)
