Attacking team (blue) play a 3-4-1 formation, as to create overloads in wide areas. Coach the attacking team only.

Game begins with Attacking GK playing to CB. CB must look to play forward early. Attacking team must look to create overlaps using various passing combinations.

Coaching points

- Start position of Wingers & FB, do they go high and wide when GK is in possession?

- Do the CM look to create a passing line to from CD to No10 by his movement? This will allow the team to play forward quickly

- Movement of FB to create overlap, curved or straight run?

- If FB recieves the ball and is closed down, how do the Winger and No10 react? Do they create another overlap? Can the No10 recieve the ball to play out to opposite wing?

- Defensive shape, does FB on opposite site come narrow to his CB when the ball is with the FB? If play breaks down do the wingers drop back if FB is out of position?

- End product, does opposite Winger attack the back post, can Wide player who has cut in to create the overlap position himself for a pull back from FB on the edge of the box?

- Encourage the attacking team not to force the overlap, keep possession if it is not possible.

- Quick transition from defense to attack, do FB's split & wide players push high and wide. Do players look to recieve the ball on the half turn to play forward early?
