Technique (20 mins)

Technique

* 12 in total - 4 players, 6 servers and 2 goalkeepers

* Servers play a pass from either central to wide or wide to central position. The ball is then played in the air for the attacker to head past the goalkeeper.

* After each header, player swaps with partner behind the goal.

* Rotate with servers

* Can use thrown serves if crossing is erratic

* As per Technique practice, but add a defender to increase realism

* Rotate servers for players, and attackers with defenders

* Can use thrown serves if passing is erratic

* Award points individually - 1 pt for a header on target, 2 pt for a goal, 1 pt for a defensive intervention

Small Sided Game (20 mins)

Small Sided Game

* Two teams of four + a goalkeeper each and 2 servers

* Aim is to score in opponents goal

* Attacking team can use the servers on either side to provide aerial balls into the box.

* Servers can move up and down the touchline with the flow of play to offer different angles of delivery.

* Thrown serves can be used if delivery is erratic
