Warm Up (15 mins)

Warm Up

Objective: Outside foot cut

Area: 20x20

Equipment: 9 cones, 1 ball each

Time: 15 mins

Organisation:

Players will start dribbling in the area. When coach blow his whistle, player will start to attack the cone and turn before accelerating to the next cone he see. Distance cannot be too close after turn.

Progression:

Use the weaker foot only.

Technique (20 mins)

Technique

Objective: Outside foot cut

Area: 10x10 grid with 3 yards zone.

Equipment:16 markers, 1 ball each

Time: 20 mins

Organisation:

On coach command players will dribble the ball into their grid and to the end zone. Players to execute Outside foot Cut when they are in the end zone.

Progression:

Practice with weaker foot.

Players to dribble into the next grid to the end and execute, they must get away as quick as possible frim the opponent.

Coaching Points:

AWARENESS

- Look at the danger and assess surrounding.

WHERE TO CONTROL THE BALL

- Away from the defender infront of you.

- Turn the ball away to keep possession

- Into the space.

HOW TO CONTROL

- Supporting leg to move to the side of the ball with inside foot facing the ball.

- Bring the kicking leg forward infront of the ball into knocking it backwards towards you.

- Make your self as big as possible to protect the ball.

- Turnyour body and push yourself forwardtowards the direction of the ball by bending your supporing leg to generate expolsiveness.

- Accelerate on the next contact of the ball using the instep.

Skill (20 mins)

Objective: 1v1 duel - Decision making

Area: 20x20 with middle zone.

Equipment:4 markers, 4 cones, supply of ball

Time: 20 mins

Organisation:

Attacker will start dribbling towards the centre zone at speed, he will make decision on either to take on defender and score the 2 goals or turn with inside foot to score the goal at the back.

Defender will be activated once the attacker enter the middle zone.

Coaching Points:

AWARENESS

- Look at the danger and assess.

WHERE TO CONTROL THE BALL

- Away from the defender infront of you.

- Turn the ball away to keep possession

- Into the space.

HOW TO CONTROL

- Supporting leg to move across to the side of the ball with inside foot facing away from the ball.

- Using the inside foot of the kicking leg, put it infront of the ball and knock it backwards towards you.

- Make your self as big as possible to protect the ball.

- Twist your body and push yourself forwardtowards the direction of the ball

- Accelerate on the next contact of the ball using the instep.

Objective: SSG Game Situstion

Area: Full court.

Equipment: Supply of ball

Time: 20 mins

Organisation:

Players are encourage to take on defender when possible.

- Into the space.
