Hiding the Ball and (15 mins)

The first player in line 1 passes to the first player in Line 2 who receives the ball across his body and dribbles at speed toward the Blueman (flag), hides the ball (inside/outside twist off, step-on) then passes back to the next player who has in line two "checked out" then recieves the ball across his body and swithces ball to Line 1 who receives the ball across his body and dribbles towards the Blueman. Players switch lines.

Coaching Points: Proper reception of the ball (across body), big first touch, dribble at speed but under control, perform turn hiding the ball, firm pass back.

Servering from wide channels - finishing (15 mins)

Progression 1 - Server plays ball towards wide player making run towards Blueman who receives the ball on the move, taking a controlling touch performing a move from previous exercise before serving the ball into the small goal placed just inside pk spot in front of goal.

Progession 2 - After playing ball to wide player, server becomes an attacking player. Server tries to "score" by serving ball into the small goal and attacker tries to score in the large goal.

Coaching Points: Play passes to space not players, agressive/controlled first touch, perform move and pass quickly, dirve ball ON THE GROUND, agressive movement off the ball (make it a race in Progression 2).

Attacking from wide Channels - 5v5 (15 mins)

30x25 Grid, 5 Yard "Shooting Zone" at each end, 2 goals at each end, 5 yards from sideline.

Play 5v5, Players try to create a penetrating run to create service from wide areas of the Shooting Zone to score.

Coaching Points: Players should possess the ball looking create a penetrating pass in wide channels in order to score. Be patient, keep shape, overlapping runs, wall passes. Encourage players to be agressive and creative. Increase size of shooting zone if neccessary.service should be ON THE GROUND.

4V2+3 (20 mins)

Grid width of 18 yard box X 25.

Play 4 v 2 (3 defenders 1 pivot midfielder) inside box, + 3 (playmaker, and wide players) outside the box.

Coaching Points: Staying compact, limiting space between players, supporting all pressure on the ball, awareness - dont get caught ball watching, pivot dropping in to keep compact (Diagram 1), backs stepping into second line when neccessary (Diagram 2).
