CL Warm Up (20 mins)

Warm Up - Before getting into the skill portion of the warm up be sure to go through a full dynamic routine to prepare the muscles

Movement:

- Jog to end of cones and back x2

- skipp to end of cones and back x1

- shuffle to end of cones and back x1

Dynamic

- kicks

- opposite hands to feet

- quads

- leg cradle

- calf

- groin

- Hip Flex

Skills: each pass goes through a new gate moving down the line

Facing each other:

- Inside foot receive & Inside foot pass

- Outside foot receive & inside foot pass

- Bottom foot receive & inside foot pass

- Bottom foot receive & bottom foot pass

Forward Facing:

- Inside of foot receive & inside of foot pass

- Inside of foot receive & outside of foot pass

- 1 touch

Technical Activity (15 mins)

In a grid split the players into two groups. One group is inside the grid and the other group is spread around the outside of the grid. The players around the outside have a ball at their feet, and the inside players do not. For 60 seconds, the inside group checks to a player on the outside, receives a pass, and passes it back to the same person. Then they’ll find a new person on the outside to repeat the sequence. This continues for one minute. Switch the groups.

Outside players must receive the ball on the move

Techniques to work on:

•Right foot only two touch -Insides only

•left foot only two touch - Insides only

•receive with one foot pass with the other

•Right foot receive outside pass w/ inside

•Left foot receive outside pass w/ inside

possession:

Use this opportunity not only to let the kids play, experiment with the information they’ve learned, but also to make “in-the-game” stoppages to correct mistakes revolving around the day’s session.

10 consecutive passes or more to score

- Timing (Too soon and players marked, too late and player with ball cannot pass quickly)
