Pass and 45 Degree run (10 mins)

Organization:

-Pylons are set apart 10 yds.

-6 players per group

 Part 1 Sequence:

A passes to B & runs diagonally @ 60% around pylon to the right

B repeats the sequence using 2 touch and passing to player C and running around pylon to the right

Player D repeats as above,etc

 -Players complete 3 sets of 2 minute work followed by 1 minute of rest

-Total = 9 minutes

5 v 5 Possession Game (20 mins)

Organization:

-5 v 5, 4-Goal possession game(protect 2 gates and attack 2 gates)

-increase/decrease numbers or add neutrals if need be

-Activity takes place in a 25 x 25 area

-shape 1-3-1

-Teams protect 2 gates and attack 2 gates

-If a player dribbles through the oppossing team gates they stop the ball and gain a point. The opposing teams collects the ball and builds play.

Duration: High intensity 5 minute games with 2 minutes of active rest(juggling or static paired passing) between games and/or coaching points

-PLay 3 x 5 minute games with rest...

Total= 19 minutes

Coaching Points:

-Ensure high player work-rate

Do not stop the session for coaching points .Instead make the coaching points during the flow or at the end of the 5 minute game

-Coach attacking principles and put an emphasis on switching the point of attack

Shooting v possession game (20 mins)

Organization:

-Activity takes place in a 30 x 25 area

-Use portable nets or pylons or corner flags to make the nets

-2 teams, 6 v 6 with different objectives.

-The BLUE team seeks to score in any net for 1 point; The RED team seeks to intercept the ball and keep possession (also utilizing the both goalkeepers)  making for a  7 v 5 overload;

-Play 3 x 5 minute games with 2 minutes rest with coaching points or active rest (IE: juggling or 2 players static 2 touch passing)

-Switch the teams roles the next game.

-19 minutes

25 minutes...play 4 x 5 minute games with 1-2 min of rest where you deliver cosching points

-freeze if necessary but try and coach over in the flow or on natural stoppages and rest period.
