Screen 1 (20 mins)

Organization:

two teams each team with one ball

Instructions:

Part 1

SAQ-Dynamic Stretching activity-

Players complete SAQ movements and Dynamic stretching

Part 2

Blue player N-S Red plays E-W players trying to complete 3(4) passes, on the final pass they must play to a neutral player, when this occurs the player making the final pass must replace the neutral player. Both teams playing at the same time trying to move the ball quickly.

Coaching Points:

SAQ-In unison as a team, deliberate exact movements

Part 2-

Weight and quality of pass,

Quality of movement off of the ball

Progressions:

P-Addition of defenders (Defenders can score on pugs)

Main Activity (20 mins)

Organization:

-Cones set as organized in diagram.

Instructions:

-Player (A) passes to player (B) who passes back to player (A)

-Player (A) passes diagonally to player (C) on the opposite side of

the field to Player (C) passes to player (D) who dribbles back to the start

-Players move to the next part of the sequence each

time

-Both sides work at the same time

Coaching Points:

- Selection of appropriate passing technique (inside, driven, curled)

- Weight, angle, timing, trajectory and shape of pass

- Direction and distance of first touch

- Movement off the ball to create space (for self and teammates) and open passing lane

- Speed, angle and timing of supporting movement

- Read triggers and body lanaguage of teammates

- Speed of play

Conditioned Game (20 mins)

Organization:

-Using attacking and middle third of the field

-2 gates on each end

-3 even teams of 4, 2 Teams on the field, 1 team being used as Target Players.

Instructions:

-Teams attempt to pass through the gates and connect with Target Player to score a point.

-If ball rolls out, play begins from coach.

-Games are 3 Minutes Long.

Coaching Points:

- Weight, angle, timing, trajectory and shape of pass

- Direction and distance of first touch

- Movement off the ball to create space (for self and teammates) and open passing lane

- Speed, angle and timing of supporting movement

- Read triggers and body lanaguage of teammates

- Speed of play

- Recognizing correct moments to switch or to penetrate

Match Play (20 mins)

Organization:

-Half Field

-Two Goals

-Cones placed to show thirds of the field.

Instructions:

-Players play a normal scrimmage

-Players are not locked in to their zones. Players are able to move freely.

-If team scores a goal, 1 Point.

-If attacking team is able to move the ball through all thirds of the field before scoring, 3 Points

Coaching Points:

Weight, angle, timing, trajectory and shape of pass

- Direction and distance of first touch

- Movement off the ball to create space (for self and teammates) and open passing lane

- Speed, angle and timing of supporting movement

- Read triggers and body lanaguage of teammates

- Speed of play

- Recognizing correct moments to switch or to penetrate

Progressions:

-Remove cones and allow free play
