fun warm up 1 (10 mins)

Organization:

20x10 area.

8 balls.

Instructions:

At coach command players must run from point A to B without being strike by the ball.

If players are strike they must collect the ball and then help coach strike player out.

Coaching Points:

Use flat of the foot for accuracy, anckle lock Toes up, step in the ball, strike the ball into equator, chin and knee over the ball, shoulder and hips square to target.

Fun technical (15 mins)

Organization:

30x20 area.

4 big cones in the center with a ball.

Four pair of 2 players.

Each pair with a ball.

Instructions:

Players alternatively must knok off the ball from the cones.

Coaching Points:

Anckle lock( toes pointed down) stike ball with laces, knee and chin over the ball.

Toe of supporting foot aiming at target.

Follow thru the ball, hips facing target, ball strike in center.

Progressions:

Use of weak foot.

Use flat of the foot.

Technical (25 mins)

Organization:

Two area of 10x30 yard with a flag goal 8 feet wide.

Three group of 4 players.

A lot of balls.

Instructions:

Players A pass the ball to B, B take a shot on goal.

C original shooter became a keeper, D original passer become a shooter.

After the save the keeper switch side and become a passer.

Start with 2 touch and go to one touch.

Coaching points:

Eyes on the ball when striking.

Approach ball slightly on side.

Non kicking foot next to the ball.

Anckle lock toe pointed down.

Strike ball with laces.

Knee and Head over the ball.

Follow through with whole body.

Shouders and hips facing the goal after strike.

Progressions:

Use both feet.

Keeper has to touch a flag before doing a save, now shooter should place with the flat of the foot for finesse or bent the ball depending on position of keeper.

Shooter now can dribble closer to the goal and keeper can get out... A chip may be...

Striking at a moving ball. (20 mins)

Organization:

3 cones set up 25 yard away from front of the goal.

1 cone outside on the right side of the 18 yard.

A lot of balls.

Instructions:

Players A take a touch and strike the ball to goal while ball is moving.

Then player B pass to A who return the pass, players B run toward the ball and strike the ball with foot closest to the ball.

Players C dribble to the corner cone, pass the ball in front of it while running around and cross in front of 6 yard box.

Players A and B run in the box and strike ball with foot closest to the ball.

Then player A goes to B, B to C and C to A.

Coaching Points:

Shoulder and hips square to target, use laces with anckle lock, knee and chin over the ball.

Strike ball with foot closest to the ball to mask shot with body.

Progressions:

Switch side and use other foot.

Conditionned game. (15 mins)

Organization:

Two fields of 20 x15

Four team of 4 players.

Four portable goals.

A lot of ball.

Instructions:

Game of 3 v3, each time a player take a shot he goes out and replace by a fourth players.

Thats give a 2v3 situation for the attacking team.

Play re- start from coach if boalget out of bound, from the back after a shot or a goal.

maximum 2 passes, 1 touch goal worth 2 points.

Coaching Points:

Look at target before shooting.

Square shoulder and hips when go through ball.

Try finish on touch while the window of opportunity is open and take defense by surprise.

After strike follow up for rebound.
