Passing warmup (20 mins)

Organization: Passing Drill. 4 on the outside, 2 in the inside

Instructions: Players inside must work hard for 1 minute and receive as many passes from the outside players as possible.

Coaching Points: Players must use lateral movement, to receive as many passes from the outside players as possible. Players must be on their toes at all times and be ready to receive and pass the ball back quickly.

Progressions: The two Players inside can use combinations, to make different plays, and get the ball back to the outside.

3v1 Movement off the ball (20 mins)

Organization: 6 Cones 4 players. 3v1 inside the shape

Instructions: 3v1 inside the Hexagon. Players cannot stand in the same Cone after the pass and must find another cone to be able to receive the pass

Coaching Points:Players must be use awareness and agility to find the next cone as they are not able to stay in the same one after the pass. First touch direction when receiving the pass is essential for the success of the drill. Players must keep their head up and find the open man in different areas.

Progressions: 4v2 into an Octagon.

5v3 (20 mins)

Organization: 5v3 Possession + Goalie with 3 defenders.

Instructions: Play starts from goalie. 5v3 possession to 5 passes before attacking either the small nets or the big goal.

Coaching Points: Players must move to the right of left and possess coming out of the back.

3v3 Game (20 mins)

Organization: 3v3 Game, 30 minutes

Instructions: Have the players play small sided games concentrating on the moves and techniques they used in their previous drills.

Coaching Points: Concentrate on movement into space with the ball and proper touch and moves to be used during the game.
