The players are split into two pitches of 3v3/4v3/4v4 games. There is a goal at each end, a half way line and a cone 12 yards behind each goal.

A goal must be scored from the opposition's half and if a goal is scored the goalscorer must run around the cone behind the goal before they can re-enter play. Ensure that there is a good supply of footballs so that a counter attack can be initiated quickly.

If the attacking team scores before the goalscorer makes it back into their own half the goal is worth 3 points instead of 1.

The pitch is split into 3 zones. The team in the central zone start by attacking whichever side they want. If they score they retain possession and attack the other end. If the defending team regain possession and cross into the central zone they become the attacking team.

The focus is on creating an effective defensive block to regain possession in order to counter attack. They then must quickly and effectively support play beyond the ball.

To progress, the defending team can push one player into the central zone. On regaining possession the defending team then have an outlet to play forward quickly. This will also create an imbalance of attack vs defence.

To begin players are locked into their zones. 2 attackers vs 1 defender per end zone and 3v3/2v3/2v2 + Magic Man in the central zone.

For the ball to enter the end zone there must be at least 1 linked pass in the central zone before the ball can be played forward. There is a 6 second time limit in the end zone before the GK collects a new ball and restarts the game.

There is a red line in each end zone. If an attacker wants to enter this zone to receive the ball unopposed they have a 3 second time limit. If they don't receive the ball within this time they must vacate that area.

To progress, once the ball is played forward one midfielder per team can enter the end zone (3v2). Players can rotate as appropriate when in transition.

Finally, players can go anywhere but there must always be a 1v1 remaining in the end zone.
