Here is another favourite of mine to work on finishing inside the penalty box but under pressure from behind. It makes the attacker think faster under realistic situations which occur in games. Please remember to provide service from both sides and not only one.
Finishing Inside The Penalty Box Under Pressure From Behind
Organization
3-5 Players plus a goalkeeper or two mannequins
Starting Point
Player 'A' is on top of the penalty box and receives a pass from Player 'C'. Player 'B' is at the top of the arc.
Action
Player 'B' can enter the play as soon as Player 'C' has passed the ball to Player 'A' who is attacking 1vs1 against Player 'C' . Player 'A' has pressure coming from behind from Player 'B'. Rotate positions following each play.
The ball can be delivered to Player 'A' on the ground, in the air, a little chip, bounced etc... in any way a ball might drop inside the penalty box during a game.
Coaching Points
First touch within personal space and touch direction away from pressure, towards goal. Action must be quick. 1vs1 move move if needed. Accurate finish into the target area.
