Organization:
12 cones, plenty of soccer balls, 2 teams of 5 plus 1 neutral
Description:
You can start this activity either on the right or left side of the field. The team will be set up to do a rondo, 4 on the outside and 1 neutral player in the middle. The defending team will have 3 in the rondo box. When the defending team is successful at recovering the ball, the pass must be immediately made to the midfield player. The midfield player will then switch the field for the attacking full back, there will be one defending player in that box who needs to make a recovery run to chase down the attacking full back. As soon as the switch is made all the rules of soccer apply.
Coaching points:
-immediate recovery results of the switch
-ball must be played forward to take advantage of the defending team set up
- the midfield player must receive the ball at a good angle to be successful
-communication
-space awareness

The game needs to focus on building up possession (yesterday's session) with today's session of SoF. The players need to understand when to switch and take advantage of the numbers down of the defending team.
