Cut the Pass 1v1

Small goals facing in opposite directions. Coach controls rhythm and triggers the 1v1 with a pass to Red 1. Blue 1 steps out to defend and should cut the angle to the goal facing Red 1 and force Red 1 away from the easy goal and into dead space. If Blue wins the ball they may also score. Defensive goals count for 2 points. Multiple 1v1s should take place simultaneously.

This is a great game for teaching 1v1 defending. Defender always has a choice of where to force the opponent so it is difficult to score. Keep score and switch sides.

Coach body shape (sideways on), speed and angle of approach (don't over-run and get burned) and "last sep forward is first step backward" so they are not flat-footed.
