In this part of the session there is going to be constant attacking and defending. In the build up zone there is a 3 v 2 situation which the atacking team have to navigate and work the ball into the pivot who is stuck in a 1 v 1 situation. As soon as the ball crosses the halfway line the goalkeepers must then put another ball into play. If the attacker in the 1 v 1 hasn't got into the box and scored then the attackers in the 3 v 2 situation must constantly recycle the ball and wait for the pivot to show. This is where the defenders can be clever and press with more aggression.
Game can be adapted so the attackers can join in further up the pitch.

Part 1 (10 mins)
Warm up Rondo:
Two squares are placed no more than 5 yards apart. The session starts with a 3 v 2 in one sqaure with a 1 v 1 in the other. The objective is for the team in possession to work the ball into the sqaure by either directly finding the "pivot" or by finding a runner from deep. You can not run with the ball into the other square however so the ball must arrive with perfect weight on it. If the attackers work the ball across then all the attackers except for one must transfer across quickly and support and then they must try and work the ball back across. Must play at least one pass in the opposite square first before you can go back across. If the defenders win the ball then they switch with the attacking players.
