1 / 2 Touch Finish (15 mins)

Players split into two teams (red and blue above)

Red team works together. Player 1 runs forward and receives a pass from player 2. Player one takes a touch and then uses instep to curl ball into far goal. Player 1 then continues run to receive a pass from Player 3 and must finish one touch. Player 1 then takes place of player 3. All players keep moving clockwise. At same time Blue team are doing the same thing towards the other goal.

Coaching Points

Early Shooting

Recognising value of taking touch if shooting from distance

Head up to avoid collisions

Correct use of foot to strike ball

Knee over ball. Arms out to balance. Placement of non-kicking foot

Value of why we shoot accross goal

Mirrors (15 mins)

Mirrors

Player one passes to player two, Player two passes back to player one and then moves to left. As soon as Player two starts moving to left player three moves to right (Mirroring them). Player one then plays the ball forward to player three. Player three then plays ball back to Player two to shoot.

After Player three has shot all players shift up one place and player three takes player ones place at start.
