5v2: Pressing (20 mins)
Field is 35 x 15, with 5 yard central zone, 3 teams of 5
Team in possession look to connect 4 passes before they can transfer ball across to other side on ground. Central team send out 2 players to win ball back, 3 remaining players screen the central area and look to intercept passes. Play 90 sec then rotate defending team.
Prog: on interception teams flip roles, defenders bring ball in, and attackers must get into central zone before applying pressure.
CPs: Pressure ball, cover inside, show into cover, screeners read through passes. Win ball back quick

Can start with three passes then play starts to allow players to defend side to side
Make sure team is compact when ball is in left zone or right zone.

Functional Warm Up: Defending (15 mins)
A and B pass ball from side to side. 3 sets of defenders pressure and cover the appropriate flag depending on which player (A or B) has the ball. Periodically, A or B can Pass to C. On this neg. pass first set of defenders step anmd press large cones, then filter to back of lines, All the other defending lines step to next flags. (prog- Coach holds up coloured pinnies, players yell out)
