Organization:
- quarter field, set up as above in 4 groups of 3
- 10-12 players, cones, ball, pinnies
Play starts when player A passes to B who receives on front foot with presure from behind from C. B needs to shield the ball and try to turn and beat C in a 1 v 1. B needs to finish with ball under control ( shield), into the target square behind C.
Move players around so everyone will execute all 3 position (pass, shield, defIf not very succesfull with turning and finish on target, Passer A could come in and support for a 2 v 1 , once shielding is done to create space or turn.
Coaching points:
- receive on front foot, shield sideways, body between ball and def
- use arms to create space ( separation from def) and lower your body not to be pushed away easy.
- try to turn and accelerate or create space for supporting player
- look for options to continue play after shielding ( turn, pass, combination, set up team mate shot )

Let them play free to start with, then introduce 2 or max 3 touches as a condition.
Coaching points:
- play calm, keep the ball
- support long and short, create min 2 options to pass to
- use whole field ( width and depth)
- move the ball quickly ( less touches), play to feet or space,
