- 3 Balls
- Blue player calls for a pass from a red player with the ball, then playing to the spare red player.
Coaching points
Blue players need to look for a pass. Head up and be in the correct to receive the ball. Turn out and look to pass to a spare red. Then look for another pass.
What are we learning?
Players a looking to keep the ball moving, taking a touch to control and a touch to pass (if applicable) so we are looking for a good first touch. Players to scan around them before calling for or receiving the ball.
Variation
Add a defender who will close down the players to win the ball. Once they have won the ball, the defender will become the player in possession, and the player who lost the ball will become the defender.

Where receiving the ball, players will need to communicate where they want the pass.
We use other parts of the foot for control, not just the inside of the foot to control and pass. Can we turn away from a marker in a different way and solve that problem? Can we open the body out to take away the need to control and let the ball do the work?
