This part of the session is set to help focus on accuracy and power of the passes made.
The aim of this session is for the players to try hit the pole when passing the ball. This will help develop the players accuracy of the pass and make sure that they have always got their head up and know where they have to aim there pass.
This starts as a practice but can be turned into a competition to help engane the players into the session more and compete against their partner. For example, everytime they hit the pole with their pass they get one point if they did it with their stronger foot. However, if they hit the pole with their pass while using their weak foot, they get two points. This competition could be time based or scored based. For example, it could last for 5 minutes or keep going until one person scores 5 points.
Planned interventions of this could include:
Making sure that the player gets their head up when they are going to pass the ball to help work on their accuracy.
A drive by could be used if a player is stuggling with their technique, this could include how they are stepping to kick the ball. For example, their standing foot is not close enough to the ball making it harder for them to kick the ball or they are still passing the ball with the wrong part of their foot.
The main coaching points for this is to make sure that the players are developing their technique of how to kick the ball correctly and also when recieving the ball.
This activity could take anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes depending on how enjoyable they find the activity as well as how well they are abel to complete this activity.

This part of the session starts to develop their skills into match realistic situations with passing and recieving the ball.
This drill involves the players being split into two different teams, a pitch will then be set out with three different sections. These three sections will be for the defenders of the red team and the attacker of the blue team, another for both teams midfielders, and then the final section for the red teams attackers and the defenders of the blue team.
The main aim of this session is to help teach the players to learn to pass through the sections, which could also be known as the phases of play. This involves getting the ball in defence and then passing it into the midfielders, from the middle section the midfield could pass backwards if they cant get foward with the ball or they could pass to the other midfielder and try to create space to then pass into the attacker who has an aim to either pass the ball pack to a midfielder who can only shoot if the shot is first time or try to take on both defenders.
This will the players to work on realistic game scenarios, this will help to improve their decision making skills so that they are able to figure out by themselves what the best decision is that they can make. For example, pass backwards if there isn't another option or turn with the ball and take somebody on.
Coaching Points - Make sure players dont take to long on the ball, this means that players will have to think quicker so that they avoid being tackled when they are recieving the ball to feet.

The last part of the session involves a 5 a side game. This is so the players are able to use the skills that they just developed.
The players will take part in a 5 a side game with no goal keepers in small goals. They will start the game with no task, this means that they will just start with a regular game.
However, as they game develops , certain interventions can be used for certain players who may need a challenging task. This could include a set amount of touches for certain players. It could also involve a group task for one of the teams if they are playing better than the other such as every player on the team has to touch the ball before they can score or all goals must be scored with a first time finish.
Coaching points for this ession would be to make sure that every body is involved in the game and they are using what they have devloped throughout the rest of the session into the game.

This session has a main aim which is to help improve the passing skills of 5 - 6 year olds.
In the first part of the session, the players will stand opposite their partner on wither side of the penalty box of a 7 a side pitch.
They will start by just passing the baller to each other taking as many touches as they need and making sure that they use the inside of their prefered foot. Once the players are comfortable qith doing this, they could be limited to 2 touches. This means that they would have to make sure that they have a good first touch to help set them up for a pass on their second touch.
Planned interventions with this could be:
Completing a fly by thorugh helping someone who may be struggling with kicking the football with the correct part of their foot, so the intervention could be used to help them understand how to pass the ball correctly.
Main coaching points of this activity is to make sure that the players are using the correct part of their foot to kick the ball and also to control the football.
