We've looked at penetrating by going *through*, now will focus on going *around*

Same principle as before but now the red team have to try and penetrate the corners of the box to recieve the ball and shoot at goal.
Focus
Different movements from midfielders and forwards to create a chance to shoot
Timing of movement and pass
Finishing Technique
Blue team still has to break to wide zone
Focus
What positions can help link with the wide players
Build or break quickly..
First touch to turn / hold up play.
Swap teams after 10 mins. Blue then try and score.

8v8 +1 SSG
LOTG apply
-each coach will keep score for 1 team
-team can earn 1 point by a) scoring a regular goal or b) breaking a line of pressure by using the wing (either dribbling, or a give and go, an overlap, etc.)
-team can earn 2 points total if they create a goal scoring chance off of that penetration on the flanks
-team can earn 3 points total by scoring a goal on that same possession
Initial Game
7v7+1 with side bumpers (neutrals)
Objective: for player to have/gain posession in target endzones either by dribbling (through front =) or by running onto a pass (player must again enter through front, ball can enter through side or front =2)
Progression: Pass into endzone must be a 1-touch pass
Keys: Players must have open body position and scan field in order to switch play effectively; players must be comfortable playing in tight spaces against the sideline
Coaching points: If it gets very crowded on one side; can we reset?; are there opportunities to play more direct?
