Two even teams will be in the middle of the grid, with 2 players on the outside in the end-zones. The objective for the teams in the middle is to keep possession of the ball going from one end-zone player to the other. The team out of possession is trying to win the ball, once they have won the ball they are now trying to keep the ball going from end to end.
Coaching Points:
- Make the field as big as possible, ensuring while in possession the team is providing width and depth which will open up space centrally.
- Ensure the ball carrier is supported by their teammates
- Whenever possible the player receiving the ball should attempt to go forward with their first touch. This is done by having open body shape so that they can see the majority of the pitch.

Body Shape Passing Technique (15 mins)
Players will divide up into groups of 3, each group will find themselves a square. The ball will be travelling outside of the square in a circle. Once a player has passed the ball to their teammates, they will move the opposite direction to the open cone. This will continue for a short amount of time till the drill is progressed.
Progressions:
1. Switch Directions
2. For wide players: Receive with the front foot, pass with the same foot
2. For inside (midfielders in particular) players: Receive with the front foot, pass with the opposite foot
3. The sequence of touches is now different. The first player receiving will take 2 touches, the next player will take 1 touch, the following player will take 2, the next 1 touch. And this will continue.
4. Every player now has 1 touch
Coaching Points:
- Ensure you have open body shape so that your first touch can go towards your next teammate
- Good passing technique, which will hit the front foot of the player receiving
