4 Square (15 mins)

How to play: Players will dribble into the middle, perform a move, grab a cone, and then dribble back into their square. Before they can bring a cone back, they must perform 5 toe taps or 5 jumpingjacks (or any other move). They must stop their ball in their square before the next player can go. Only one player can be out of the square at a time. The team that gathers the most cones, wins!

The number of teams depends on the number of players. Try to have 2-3 players per team!

Regression: Allow players to carry the ball

Progression: Once all the cones are out of the middle they can go to other squares to steal cones.

Modifications:

If you have enough balls, you can use balls instead of cones. Players will then sprint into the middle a grab a ball and dribble it back.

Pot of Gold (10 mins)

Set Up: Set up a 5x5 square in the middle. Place a net (Pot of Gold) on either endzone and two lines on either sideline. Divide the players into two teams. Each team gets a pile of balls (Gold)

How to Play: One at a time, a player from each team will dribble their ball into the middle square, cut, and go to score on the goal. The player then runs to the back of their line and waits to go again. They get one chance to score. If they miss, they go back to the line and wait to try again. The team that scores the most goals and gets the fullest pile of gold, wins! (can use a certain number of balls per side or a time limit).
