Set Up

Set-up a pitch suitable for a SSG 6 v 6 or 7 v 7 or 8 v 8 with 1 or 2 Jokers & 2 GKs. Dependant on the numbers available.

Split players into two teams.

a. Teams must have every outfield player in their opponent’s half to score. This forces players to move up and down the field throughout.

b. Team that Scores retains possession and starts immediately from their own goal keeper. Keeper must start the play with no longer than 5 secs after the team has scored.

Coaching Points:

1. Focus on the group to get past the half way line to score

2. Closest Player without the Ball must Press immediately

3. Progress the exercise from 2 touch to 3 to free.

4. Keep tactical coaching to a minimum. Focus on Work rate.
