1v1 Breakaway Warm Up

A. GK deals with volley then does footwork jumps over hurdles and then attacks ball that coach calls

B. GK sideways through the strips and then sprint out and make a save before cone line

C. Server plays 50/50 ball between attacker and GK slides through striker

D. GK ball is played from server to attacker. Attacker has 2 touches to beat GK between yellow cones


KEYS TO SUCCESS:

- Drive off the foot closest to the ball

- Get low on last step to slide through the ball

- Pull Through the ball with your hands

INSTRUCTIONS: GK does 45 degree pop then gets set in square to handle a low shot from S1. GK then recovers as quick as possible to deal with shot #2. S1 will then yell 'fire' to S2 who will look to shoot ball from B angle.

Server plays a 50/50 flighted, driven or bent ball into the box. GK that wins ball quickly puts ball on ground for a 1v1 vs opposing GK.
