Middle player checks at an angle with pressure staying tight but blocking the line
Middle player clips the ball around the corner to player on end line
Player on end line attacks space
Defender comes across to close door
Attacker beats defender with Maradonna

Weight and acuracy of pass
Open body shape
Use weight of pass to get ball around the corner
Recognition of space closing and using defenders speed against them
Using correct technique for Maradonna
Progressions:
Allow defender to defend and win the ball
Change pressure of defender to change technique or work on 2 vs 1

Instructions:
Middle player checks off defender, defender moves as ball is passed to block passing lane
Receiving player drops ball back to passing player to hit the 3rd line
Player on 3rd line dribbles at passing player and beats him with a scissor
Coaching Points:
Creating triangle - 2nd line open lane, 3rd line find it
Playing back foot
Setting ball not passing back
Playing to furthest foot
mentality - penetrate 1st then posses
Progressions:
Allow defender to win the ball back
Play 2 touch and players have to get the ball from 1 end to other

Instructions:
Defender passes to attacker who takes a touch to find passing lane, defender blocks it
Defender then pressures the attacker who plays a give and go with attacker
The 2 players then drive at defender and either combine or use a move to beat them
Process starts over

Use of player to combine (commit defender)
Playing with outside of foot (Fabregas outside of foot pass)

Instructions:

- Middle player checks to the ball straight, Defender stays tight
- Receiving player spins defender and then plays to end player
- Middle 2 players transition
- End player combines with team mate (originally the defender)
Coaching Points:
- Create team space
- Create individual space
- Check shoulder
- Feel for defender
- Receiving with front foot
- Head up as ball travels
- Commiting defender
- Playing give and go off back foot
Progressions:
Semi-opposed
1. Allowing defender to make a choice (stand still/go with player)
2. Allow pressuring player to block combination or line
3. After give and go allow 2 combining players to go 2 vs 1 against original passing player
Fully opposed
1. Allow defenders to put full pressure at any of the above
