Organization:
- Shoot to goal.
- Four cones of different colors facing diagonally.
- Two lines if too many players and goals available.
Instructions:
- First player in line, passes the ball to player in midfield, who then lays off the ball to the player on the top corner. Player in midfield runs into space to finish on a first touch to the sides of the goal.
- After you shoot, whether you score or not, you become the assister on the corners of the field, and the assister will join the back of the next line with the ball shot on goal.
Coaching Points:
- Calling out for the ball loudly to team mate, check in and check out with open body shape before recieving the ball.
- For accurate long distance passes we will use our laces as, with same technique as if we were shooting on goal.
- Keep in mind the direction of the pass and what kind of shot to use, along with the amount of touches.
- Body shape depending on pass and which foot to finish with.
- Know where to shoot before receiving the pass.
Regressions/Progressions:
P: - Add GK
- Make it sctrictly one-touch finish OR
- Add a point system to enable decision making as assists may not be the best.
