1v1 Defending (15 mins)
THE SESSION: 1v1 End Zone
Set Up: 8x16
Three lanes, each lane has a end zone
Each lane has one defender who prevents attacker from reaching the end zone
Each lane is a different league, if the attacker reaches the end zone they get promoted
If the defender wins the ball back they get one point and the attacker gets relegated
Play for one minute then change the defender

Organised Defending (15 mins)
THE SESSION: 3v3 Defending
Set Up: Half Field
Field spilt into three lanes with each lane containing one defender and one attacker
Attackers look to move the ball between lanes to creat goal scoring chances
All attackers must stay in their lane
Defenders are free to move between lanes
If defenders win the ball backt they look to hit both small goals (strikers) as soon as possible
Key Messages:
Slide as a unit
Always protect the centre
If one player presses the other two must protect and drop
Deny players space - get close
Delfect attackers away from centre
Delay attackers if one defender is taken out of the game
Destroy if you see a pressing trigger
Progressions:
Attackers can move between any zones
