Learning Outcomes:
Why- To learn proper technique to shoot the ball on goal
What- Shooting the ball with inside or outside of the foot
-What/Which; Surface of foot to use when striking the ball related to scenario

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
Approximately 20x20, goals 8-10 yards apart
Dimension Considerations:
-Should be adjusted to force/allow players to look to shoot quickly without needing to dribble. -Distance between 2 goals should allow for a healthy balance of success vs failure during the transition moments
2 goals (puggs/cones can be used)
1 counter goal (puggs can be used)
Each player with a ball
Instructions:
-Player A dribbles out and can score in any of the 2 goals. As soon as they score they are now a defender
-As soon as player A shoots, player for Line B looks to score in any of the 2 goals. As soon as they shoot the ball they now become the defender for line A.
Each player will look to attack/defend 1x before returning to their goal
If Defender is able to win ball, they can look to score in counter goal within 3 seconds
Point Structure
Goal in either goal= 1 pt
Defender scores in counter goal= 2 pts
Coaching Points/Questions:
-Weight/ Direction of 1st touch - To be able to help us score more easily, what can we do with our first touch?
-Observe Defenders position How does the position of the defender impact what goal I look to score in?
-Surface/ Application of Shooting Technique- Based on what we see (defender/goal), what surface of the foot could we look to use?
Regressions/Progressions:
Regressions:
-address the timing based on success vs failure in the activity, if there is a high rate of success from the attacker perhaps look to address that the attacker can't attack until the defender has gotten set, etc.
-Defender can only defend in the back half

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
Same setup as previous screen
Instructions:
2 attackers from A enter the grid and shoot. The player that shot the ball, immediately becomes a defender; and the player that did not shoot the ball may now become a GK and defend any of the 2 goals
Players B (2 attackers) once players from A shoot, are immediately able to attack 2v1 in the area and look to score on any of the two goals
If defenders are able to win the ball they have 5 seconds to look to score in the counter goal.
Each team looks to attack 1x and defend 1x
Point Structure
Attackers 1 pt for every goal scored, 2 pts for finishing on 1 touch
Defenders if able to win the ball and score within 5 seconds= 3 pts
Coaching Points/Questions:
-Quick transition when attacking to create space
- Movement from the 2nd attacker "How can I help my teammate who has the ball to be able to have more success?"
- Surface/technique used when finishing based upon scenario
Regressions/Progressions:
Regression- eliminate the 1 defender that is able to guard the goals, making a clear 2v1

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
Same setup as previous screen
Instructions:
Same initiation/point structures as previous screen for both teams.
Once the first team shoots, both players may now defend, but they are only allowed to defend with 1 player in each half (if numbers allow teams can denote a GK that switches each round)
Coaching Points/Questions:
-Quick transition when attacking to create space
- Movement from the 2nd attacker "How can I help my teammate who has the ball to be able to have more success?"
- Surface/technique used when finishing based upon scenario
Regressions/Progressions:

Approximately 30x20; adjust as needed
Setup 2 games based upon numbers/developmental

Neutral players provide support for team in possession
Field is divided into 2 vertical halves. Players are restricted to their vertical half. teams can score in any of the 2 goals in the direction they are given to score.
Goals count as 1 point, but if scored on 1 touch count for 3 points
Play for 2- 3 minutes and switch roles
Coaching Points/Questions:
Decisionmaking- "How can we identify space/where to play?" Checking shoulder, scanning field, communicating
-Movement of 2nd attacker to create space and ability to be played into scoring situations
Regressions/Progressions
Restrict/Allow neutrals to score
Progression: remove vertical channel and allow unrestricted movement
