-attacking team starts with soccer ball each

Instructions
1. attacking player (#10) must go 1v1 against opposing defender and find a pass to their supporting wide player
2. supporting wide player (#7) must receive on back foot and has 2 touches to score on goal
3. if defender wins ball they must connect with their supporting player
4. after couple rounds switch attacking and defending team roles
5. make it competative first team to find their supporting player 5 times each player will get 1 MVP point
Coaching Points
1st attacker (player with possession)
-first thought is to penetrate space
-observation of defender
-option to use skill to unbalance defender (risk vs reward)
-head up to find decisive pass
-speed of next movement
2nd attacker (supporting wide player)
-off the ball movement
-read the movements of 1st attacker
-make supporting run vs safe pass option
-allign hips to ball to create passing lane
-receiving technique to penetetrate
-receive on back foot
Progressions
-add a gk
-1st attacker must combine with 2nd attacker then score for 2 points or go 1v1 for 1 point

Instructions
1. players from the attacking & defending team start at the side of
their goal and run to touch the yellow cone
2. the first team to touch the cone coach will play a pass to that team
3. if the attacking team get the ball first they must combine with teammate to score for 2 points, if they go 1v1 and score they will only get 1 point
4. if the defender get the ball first they must transition to attackers and score in opposite side
Coaching Points
-combination play with supporting player
-observation of space behind defender
-selection of combination wall pass, 1-2, overlap or through ball based on 2nd attacker movement
-moves to beat player 1v1
-3 E's of attacking 1v1
-Enter pressure area, Execute move, Exit touch
-play quick in transition

2nd attacker roles
-when to move early movement (as the ball travels)
-recognition of when 1st attacker needs support
-observation of space
-make an effective run (go wide? or cut in?)

-now the either team can play a pass back to an extra teammate for a 3v2 to attack in overload

Pattern 1
1. Player with ball will pass to the right and follow their pass
2. Receiving player will check away and take a touch forward and continue passing rotation
3. compete team vs team first to 20 passes wins 1 MVP each
4. go opposite way to work on opposite foot
Pattern 2
1. player with ball will play a wall pass with receiving player on the right then follow their pass
2. receive playing will then check away into space to receive a through ball
3. repeat passing action with next receive playing player
