Organization
- Create a 15 x 15 area
- Place a mannequin centrally
- Place a player on each of the sides of the square all but one with a ball
- Place a player centrally without a ball
- If there are only players change the shape to a triangle
Activity
- The central player will move to receive the ball from one of the outside players they will then look to find the player on the outside of the square without a ball and play it to them.
- The central player will do this continuously for a 40 seconds always looking to find the spare player.
Progression
- The player in the middle has to take 2 touches
- The player in the middle has take 1 touch
- Competition amongst the two groups to see who can make the most passes
This session is focused on the ball being won back and getting on to the front foot by attacking quickly with short sharp passing and tandem movements. In this activity we are looking for players to find space quickly and have an idea of where they will be playing next before they receive the ball.

Organization
- Equipment will be a goal and a mannequin centrally 15-20 yards from goal
- Start with 3 different groups of players
- Group 1 at the halfway line in a wide position (Player 1)
- Group 2 at the halfway line central (Player 2)
- Group 3 Back to goal in front of the mannequin (Player 3)
Activity
- Player 2 starts by playing then ball in to Player 3 at the mannequin
- Player 3 will then set back the ball for player 2 to step on to
- Player 1 will make the run in to the space in the channel
- Player 2 will pass the ball into the space for player 1
- Player 3 will spin and run into the area
- Player 1 will cross for player 3 to finish first time
Progression
- Player 3 will use the cones to make a false movement first. This may be that they move towards the near post then spin out to the back or the opposite
- The midfielder makes a run to the edge of the box for the cut back

- When the players number is called they attempt to get to their partners line with the ball. The partner must leave their ball and attempt to steal from their team mate.
This session is focused on the ball being won back and getting on to the front foot by attacking quickly with short sharp passing and tandem movements. We are looking for a good weight of pass, Good timing on the movements and a controlled finish.

Organization
- Two teams start 20 yards from goal in single file lines
- All of the balls start with one of the coaches next to the goal
- A player or one of the coaches is the GK
Activity
- Each player will receive two opportunities to score, the first will be a ball passed to them outside the area where they have two touches to score
- The second ball will be a first time finish from inside the area
- If they score they do not score they are out of the game and step away from their line
- If they score 1 they return to their line to play again
- If they score 2 they return to their line to play again and can either choose to knock out and opposition player or bring a team mate back in to the game that has been knocked out.
- Team with the last player standing wins

Warm Up (10 mins)
Organization
- Players in pairs line up opposite eachother in the middle of a 20x30 box
- One ball between the pair
- Pairs stand around 3 yards apart
Activity
- The players are numbered 1-2, and stand opposite each other on their toes
- On the coaches call of a number the number that he calls spins and attempts to get to the line behind them before the opposite number can beat them to it.
- Whichever player makes it first gets the point
- To make it more fun for the players you can have them starting in different positions, or can only use certain movements to get to the lines.
Progression
- Each player starts with a ball and when the numbers is called they have to dribble to the line. The opposite number can get 1 point by beating them to the line or go for 2 by kicking their ball off their oppositions ball.
