Key Learning Outcomes:
• Movement away (long) to create team space
• Can I check back to receive the ball?
• Drifting away as ball travels while still seeing the ball and leaving space open you want to move into
• Recognizing teammate is going to pass (visual cue – head up, head down / player in possession is about to be under pressure)
• Quality and timing of run to receive when checking into space (how is the defender affected, not coming too deep into 2nd attacker’s line)
• Decision to make diagonal or straight runs in behind / on-sides tactics
