THE SESSION:
8x8 square
In groups of 3 or 4, players dribble around outside of the square, using small touches and going outside each cone.
Right foot counter clockwise, left foot clockwise
PROGRESSIONS:
Switch to left foot counter clockwise, right foot clockwise (use pinky toe)
Perform moves at cone - drag and flick, twist off, etc
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
This can be used as a filler while playing the 2 v 2 game
Players can dribble around the exterior of the 2 v2 grid

THE SESSION:
Players pair up and play 1v1 to cone goals.
Attacker must dribble through the goal to score
PROGRESSIONS:
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
Defenders get in 'surfer stance' and try to delay defender
Pressure quickly then slow down as you get close
Look for a bad touch or the attacker to put their head down as signal to try to 'steal' the ball.
Can you hold the attacker up (In a game situation this enables your team mates to retreat and support you)

THE SESSION:
Two attackers and two defenders start in the middle. Coach plays a ball in to the attackers who try to turn and score on the small goal. If the defenders win they can counter attack to the opposite goal. Defenders can try to win ball after attackers first touch.
PROGRESSIONS:
Allow defenders to intercept the first pass from the coach
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
Defenders 'lock on' - get goal side, ball side and touch tight
Defenders be patient and wait until attacker tries to turn.

THE SESSION:
5v5/6v6
Coach within the game

Encourage and reinforce defensive principles
Agility tag game (15 mins)
THE SESSION:
Blue team send one player through the gate into the area. They have 10 seconds to try to tag a player and get through the opposite gate. Once they're through the next player goes.
PROGRESSIONS:
2 players go in - when either tags someone, both sprint through. Double team allowed
Team in the area have a ball each. Defenders try to steal ball instead of tag.
Players keep one ball between them

Sprint towards player/ball but slow down when close
Can you corner/trap someone?
