Organization:
1. 12x12 grid.
2. 4 players along the outer lines of the grid with 2 defenders in the middle trying to intercept the ball.
Instructions:
1. Players should move along the line to create space and angles to receive ball
2. Players on the outside should be communicationg with each other.
Cocahes Point:
1. Open body shape to receive ball
2. First touch should not stop the ball dead but into open space away from defender and into you next pass.
3. Decision Making - whether to play to player wide of them versus when to try to split the defenders.
4. Head up

Organization:
1. Grid is 20 x 15 area (may need to adjust size of area based on developmental level of players).
2. Seperate players in to 4 v 4 + 2 neutral players (based on numbers)
Instruction:
1. The attacking team is on the outisde (red in this diagram) while the blue team defends.
2. Both teams have four players.
3. There are also three neutral players (two targets and one central).
4. Team in possession try to move the ball from one target player to the other.
5. If the defending team (blue) wins the ball they become the attackers and must now position themselves on the outside while the red team would now become the defenders and position themselves in the middle.
Coaching Points:
1. Body Possitioning
2. Whenever ball is lost team must make quick transition to win the ball back starting with player that is closest to ball.
3. All players must react quickly
Progression:
1. Limit touches passing (1 or 2 touch)

Organization:
1. Using approximately half the field (more than half if available) play 7v7 + a GK (as shown above)
2. Team of 7 defends on numbers
Instructions:
1. Main focus for the attacking team (red in diagram) is to utilize the width to switch play to create openings against the defensive.
Coaching Points:
1. Speed of Play: Players should look to play accurate and weighted passes quickly in order to combine and play away from defenders to create an opportunity to cross or play someone through
2. Want at least 2 midfielders to keep the game in front of them when in possession so that they can dictate play
3. Look to utilize quick passes to attract defenders then play the weakside quickly using one of the pivot midfielders to exploit defensive team on the weakside
4. Exploiting space: Using varied types of runs and spreading out and occupy space based on positions, players need to try and get behind/between the defenders to score quickly.

Organization:

3. 5 cones in a diamond shape (as shown above)
Instructions:
ZONE 1
1. Player A passes to player B
2. Player B passes back (wall pass) to player A
3. Player A passes wide to player B, Player B moves left or right (player C's decision making) to outside cones to receive pass from palyer A.
4. Player B receives ball across body and passes to player C
5. Player C starts over from the other side
Coaching Points:
1. Keep the ball on the ground when passing
2. Player B runs backward with a shuffle to receive pass (NO side to side or skip backwards)
3. Players receiving the ball must have good body positioning/shape (receive across body)
4. Effort, work hard
5. Movement off ball (get wide quickly)
6. MOST IMPORTANT - Check your shoulder at least 3 times before receiving the ball each time.
7. Communication - talk with teammates to help with tempo
Progression:
1. Start with unlimited and progressively get to 1 touch.
