Organization:
-Players on the outside of the gird. 2 have a ball, 2 without a ball.
-1v1 in the middle, defender applies passive pressure.
Instructions:
-Outside player passes into central attacker who is marked by the defender.
-Perform turn to beat the defender while being marked and pass into the spare player at the top.
Coaching Points:
-Scan before receiving the ball to check the position of the defender.
-Body position to protect the ball in relation to the defender.
-Accuracy of the pass from the outside player to the attacker’s correct foot.

Objective Improve quality of the pass, receiving on the back foot, quality of the finish.
Organization Start drill passing & receiving to finish, two goals with GKs, two lines of players with ball, wide players, central players.Ball starts from the 5, 6 checks out receivies on their back foot and plays to 2, 2 plays into 9 and the pattern starts over again.
Coaching Points Visual checking, verbal communication, quality of the pass, first touch into space receiving.
Interval Duration 4 min then change direction (8 min total each progression).

Organization:
- 12 players with 4 in each grid , 2 on each end
- see diagram for equipment and set-up
- 15 x 10 grid with small goals in the opposite corners
Instruction:
- Player passes the ball across to opponent and closes down on attacker.
- If defender wins the ball, she can score in opposition goal.
- Play is dead if the ball goes out of the grid.
- Have one side play defensive role for about 6 minutes and then switch
Coaching Points:
- Speed and angle of approach. Arched run to close angle and get in front of attacker
- Arms out for balance, angled body, one foot in front of the other at an angle.
- Push attacker away from goal.
Progression:
- Play 2v1 with goals moved to middle of each end

15x15 area. 1 team passes around outside of the area and rotates positions. Remaining 2 teams pass and move in the middle area to team mates. Rotate roles of teams.
Coaching Points
Width & depth - This is to make to pitch big to allow room for players to dribble into space and to provide passing options.
Movement to receive - Intelligent movement to create passing lines. Encourage players to move away from the ball before going towards the ball to loose the defender.
Rotation of players to create space - Players starting to work in units and can exploit space made by other players. If one player moves away from the ball and leave space then another player should recognise this and go into the space to receive the ball.
