passing drill (colours) (25 mins)
Description - 10 players split into 3 teams of a 4 and 2 x (as shown). To begin players will pass and move only within the area to only their colour. Progress on to now they can now only pass to another colour(not their own) and also not back to the same person. On from there ask the players to pass the ball to a player of a different colour say the name of that colour and the players name that you have passed to. Finally can you pass to a different colour and shout the missing colour. (i.e. if you are blue and pass to red you will have to say the players name and the colour yellow) end with some ball manipulation when they recieve the ball can they produce a turn.
Technical - weight of pass, accuracy of pass, dribbling/recieving skills etc, have to look up and scan at all times to be aware of colour you have to shout.
Tactical - good communication, play quickly along the floor.
Physical - good cardio workout
Psychological/Social - great for decision making, awareness of others and communication is vital.
